Micro Drainage WinDes is a powerful suite if analysis, design and graphic programs. It addresses drainage design tasks of all kinds, from the simplest to the most complex and does so using the logic of traditional drainage engineering techniques.

WinDes provides and effortless path which previously required intensive manual calculations and drawings to complete with major savings in the time and effort spent in alterations and redesigns.

Key Suites:

 

Storm

Storm module is based on the Modified Rational Method, the traditional building block of drainage design. It can be used to design storm drainage or, in combination with the Foul Module, combined drainage network. An Optimisation option allows users to determine the optimum design in terms of function and cost at a single keystroke.

Foul

This module provides the process for creating foul sewer networks or in combination with Storm, combined networks. Foul incorporates both the fixture unit and main drainage methods.

Schedules

Takes the relevant data from Storm, Foul, or a combination of the two to determine the optimum schedule and sizes for manholes. Schedules simultaneously calculates the vertical space available to avoid services.

Long Section

This module brings all the data together to plot the relevant longitudinal section of the network or open channel in a clear and detailed graphic form. Long Section plots can be transferred directly into a CAD system or output to a wide range of mono or color printers.

Simulation

                     

A full hydrographic method to determine flood risk and system failure under extreme comditions. Using animated graphics, the program can be used to analyse system overloads, storage, reverse flow characteristics, surcharging and backwater effects. Up to 350 ancillaries may be analysed within the simulation.

 

Storage Design

From small tanks to lakes serving metropolitan developments, the Storage Design module provides the flexibility to determine the storage requirements for all kinds of network. Over 540 permutations are incorporated into the module, as is the full routing (Puls) method which can achieve significant savings over conventional design methods.

Channel

When open channel drainage is required, this module can be used to analyse flow, using the familiar backwater step method. Up to 22 points in cross section with main and flood channels can be incorporated.

CAD Interface

This powerful module allows user to create and edit drainage network from within CAD systems like AutoCAD or PDS. Data interfaces with core WinDes design modules.
